Chapter 1. Finding each other

I decided to find an answer to this question today. I might not be able to get the clarity in several hours. But, in my experience, I usually achieve a pretty good solution whenever I try to figure things out at the last minute. Hopefully this helps.

I have my lover living in San Antonio, Texas. He is an officer in the US Army, and he used to be in Daegu, Korea, until May this year. We found each other on Tinder in 2024. We both agreed and decided to hide Tinder from the world. Somehow, we both agreed to this part very easily. Neither of us was questioning this decision. Maybe because we felt like we were so lucky to find each other.

The memory of our first day is so vivid that I can never forget it. I finished my work, and I went to meet him right after work. I was so exhausted, but I just liked his way of talking on the chat. I drove to the area near Camp Henry. He said there is a nice gazebo. To be honest, I thought it was some kind of a cafe. But I was completely wrong. He gave me a very public spot where old people are exercising, like, less than 10 steps away from us. It was such a relief that none of them can understand English.

The conversation flowed like a silk road. There was no pause. We were talking about so many things. The laugh was there, and fun was there. It was so joyful, and we spent hours on the same bench with no drinks or snacks. Icebreaker? Never needed. I felt the chemistry. He slowly came closer and put his arm on my shoulder. I liked it. He is handsome, sexy, and charming. I wanted him.

We both have jobs and had to go home before midnight. I could spend hours and hours talking with him but decided to be rational and go home. He gave me a GOOOOOD kiss, and I got in a car. My heart was pounding, and my mind was so excited.
